• Established Lambda Alpha International as an AICP CM Provider providing CM credits for semiannual international workshops and monthly chapter events.
• LAI’s Land Economics Weekends in cities such as Toronto, Chicago, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Santa Fe and Glasgow (and monthly events at LAI chapters) deliver professional lectures, seminars and mobile workshops which provide opportunities for continuing educational experiences for AICP members attending the events and receiving CM credit.

Health-Oriented Training Program of the L.A. Leggers_sm

• 1989-1992: Charter Member – incorporated the L.A. Leggerssm, “the premier Los Angeles marathon training program” founded by Bob Scott with the assistance of Olympian Jeff Galloway, as a non-profit mutual-benefit organization. Served on the initial board of directors; provided cartographic design services; developed the initial training handbook to guide the board of directors and support volunteer runner organization; and was instrumental in establishing the organization as a self-sufficient entity.
• Completed 5 marathons.

Educational Contributions at LA Chapter, LAI:

• As LA Chapter President, inaugurated and implemented the LAI Lecture Series in Land Economics in collaboration with Dr. Donald Bleich at California State University at Northridge’s Center for Real Estate: 2001
• At the University of Southern California, as President of the LA Chapter of LAI, moderated a panel of experts discussing the challenges and opportunities within the contemporary development process in Southern California: 2000
